The Republic of Lebanon, located in the East Mediterranean, has a very rich history. Syria borders to the north and east. Israel is to the south. It covers an area of 10,452 square kilometers. Lebanon has a very deep history. With that comes a large contingent of tourists, who provide a lot of the economy for the area. Lebanon employs a laissez-faire model when it comes to their economy. They do not have restrictions on the movement of money across their borders.
Lebanon practices a parliamentary democracy, which further gets specific with a special system called Confessionalism. Many high-ranking officials have to be associated with a specific religion to hold a position in the government, such as the President has to be a Maronite Christian. Lebanon has approximately 4,822,000 people inside who call it home. They people are recognized as the Lebanese. The official language is Arabic. Lebanon is also the most religiously diverse country in all the Middle East.
