Applicant will operate the proposed .CSC gTLD ("the TLD") on behalf of and for the benefit of its parent company, CSC. CSC's mission is to maintain its status as a global leader in providing technology-enabled business solutions and services. CSC's mission demands that it make an absolute commitment to excellence in performance by observing the following management principles: commits to client satisfaction as its most important business objective; recognizes that its accomplishments are the work of the people who comprise CSC; requires the highest standards of professionalism and technical competence from its people; maintains the highest standards of ethics and business conduct and operates at all times within the laws of all countries in which it does business; pursues new business opportunities and commits to success in each undertaking; and achieves financial performance consistent with these principles and commensurate with a leadership position in its industry. CSC enhances its customers' IT through innovation that harnesses the breadth and depth of Applicant's information, global network, world class products and services, and talented leadership with the best training. Accordingly, CSC strives to help its clients and customers use IT more efficiently to improve their operations and profitability, focus on core competencies and achieve business results such as increased agility, innovation and top-line growth.
As IT-related websites are among the most vulnerable to fraudulent online activity, the TLD's purpose is to further assist Applicant and CSC in accomplishing its mission of providing completely secure online technology-enabled solutions and services, and being able to provide customers, clients, affiliates and subsidiaries with the most technologically secure and advanced online environment in which to learn about and access the products and services provided by CSC. The TLD will enable CSC to further its goal of adapting and evolving to the host of ever-changing trends and opportunities in furnishing technology-enabled solutions and services. In keeping with its mission to be a global leader in providing technology-enabled solutions and services in a safe, trusted, and responsible manner, upon delegation of the TLD, Applicant, in conjunction with CSC, will initially conduct consumer marketing and technical research to determine the most effective and safest way for Applicant and CSC to market and provide CSC's technology-enabled solutions and services to its consumers through the TLD. During this initial research period, Applicant and CSC will likely not use the TLD to provide any information or services to the public, but reserves the right to use the TLD for internal purposes, including consumer and security-based testing the TLD for later public use. After the research is completed, Applicant and CSC reserve the right to continue limiting the TLD use for internal purposes only, or if an adequately secure public use is requested by consumers and proven viable, to expand its TLD use accordingly to match its consumers' Web-based expectations.
